Welcome to Olta Azul! Our name explains our commitment to supporting small-scale fishers and helping conserve the Mediterranean Sea. In Turkish, “Olta” means fishing hook, emphasizing our support for low-impact hook and line fishing practices, while ‘’Azul’’ stands for the Turkish turquoise coast we are helping improve. Our logo features an infinity sign, symbolizing our long-term commitment to marine conservation. By controlling globefish from our waters, we actively contribute to the recovery of native species populations, particularly squid, octopus, and cuttlefish, which have experienced significant declines in various ecosystems.
